To be honest, I'm not sure if "feasting wine" is a thing at all, but if it isn't, it ought to be — and this 2018 Montescondo Sangiovese should be one of them. Alongside a home-cooked pizza and confit tomato situation, it lent our haphazard attempt at producing something akin to Neapolitan pizza an air of handsome nonchalance, which is the precise spirit I usually attach to all things Italian. Let it be known, I have never been to Italy! The wine struck me as zesty, a touch tingly and ripe, and like it'd be very good with meat. - Dana C.
