I have been dreaming up Good Luck Wine Shop for so long, and for every hurdle anticipated for opening our business, Covid-19 was not one of them. But I pride myself on my ability to pivot, and the sentiments of our store, whether they are physical or online, still ring true: having a space to share wine with others and showcase the incredible people, community and values behind the wines.
So how did we get here?
Both natives of Los Angeles, Adam and I first met in 2014 outside a popular Los Feliz wine bar. It was soon after that Adam introduced me to all things natural wine and I fell in love (also with him).
When our son Cy was born we moved back to my home town of Pasadena. After 15 years as a sommelier, Adam began making wine in 2016 and we are currently building out our new winery, Vin de California (VDC) here in Pasadena.
Good Luck Wine Shop, located next door to VDC, will open in Winter 2020 and bring natural wines from around the world to the Pasadena area.
Good Luck Wine Shop is a space for everyone and does not discriminate based on race, sex, gender expression, sexual orientation, legal status, age, religion, or disability. We are committed to contributing and giving back to our community and a percentage of sales each month are donated to youth programs, mental health organizations, and legal funds. This summer we will be contributing to SUMMAEVERYTHANG, a community center donating organic produce boxes to families in Watts and South Central Los Angeles.
